one key line of last year's new year reflection was this question: "where do you want to be in 10 years?" - now those 10 years appear again, in an advice:

See effort as a path to mastery. Someone told me when I was 21 that there was a 10 year apprenticeship for being a writer. That really helped for for those first 10 years. Then I forgot–after the first apprenticeship comes . . . another decade-long apprenticeship, and another. You are not proving your brilliance and talent when you write, you are learning that mastery. You are getting better. - Elizabeth Stark
