in April, i bought corms of a new flower: Gladiolen. (well, the flower isn't new. but it's new for the garden here.) for a while, not much happened. then some green leaves developed, looking basically like iris-leaves.
and now, in the course of just some days, the Gladiolen developed petal-stems. (is that the word?). right now, they look a bit like green corn, and are hip-high. and still closed. one looks brighter, the other darker.
can't wait to see them unfold and see them turn into something like this.
