James Hilton: Lost Horizon
today came with a book suprise: i started to read James Hilton's novel "Lost Horizon". and after some pages, looked up its wiki page. and came across those 3 tidbits:
"Lost Horizon is a 1933 novel by English writer James Hilton. It is best remembered as the origin of Shangri-La, a fictional utopian lamasery high in the mountains of Tibet."
"In 1939, it was the first book to be published in paperback form, as Pocket Book #1. U.S"
"President Franklin D. Roosevelt named the Presidential hideaway in Maryland after Shangri-La. (It has since been renamed Camp David.)"
i had no idea of any of this.
