foffof: [e[e - evolution]entropy]

foffof is a journal of asemic writing - writing that is wordless. which is a fascinating approach:

"The word asemic means "having no specific semantic content". With the nonspecificity of asemic writing there comes a vacuum of meaning which is left for the reader to fill in and interpret. All of this is similar to the way one would deduce meaning from an abstract work of art. The open nature of asemic works allows for meaning to occur trans-linguistically; an asemic text may be "read" in a similar fashion regardless of the reader's natural language. Multiple meanings for the same symbolism are another possibility for an asemic work." (- asemic/wiki)

it was one of Jeff Crouch's works that brought me to foffof, "-ing". looking at it, and then visiting the other visuals gave me the impulse to work on an asemic series of visuals.

the series is up now - to leave the interpretation open, i won't add any background in this note, and just give the title:
[e[e - evolution]entropy]

Ok, I know you LOVE how small the world can get sometimes :) I worked with Jeff Crouch when I had my YouTube journal. I hope he reads this and considers sending me some art for Referential.
