chain reaction:
i fell in love with the open idea of blog carnivals since i joined the "festival of trees" blog carnival last month. the thought returned while visiting Frankfurt book fair, with all its international books and authors. and then stuck with me. and an idea took shape:

a blog carnival. for authors/bloggers who are bilingual, or living abroad, or learning a new language, and are interested in blogging about their experience of language and place - can be a personal note, a poem, photography, a travelogue, a memory, a video, a flash story, a moment of (mis)understanding...

i now went ahead and pulled together a starting page:

first carnival is planned for November 15th. if you have a blog post that might fit, send it along, or put it together until Nov 9th. i am curious already for the places and languages (and continents) this first carneval will include.
