in beautiful autumn timing, one of my flower photos is up in Referential, combined with a poem by Beth Cagle Burt that starts with this stanza:
"Petals flung wide, I stand fascinated /
at the sun of my formation, waiting"
this is the announcement note from editor Jessie Carty: "Brighten Your Day - This morning I’m thrilled to show you a new photograph by regular contributor Dorothee Lang titled “Fastened Yellow” which will now be paired with recent Best of the Net Nominee Beth Cagle Burt’s poem Black-Eyed Susan in Morning. Thank you for stopping by!"
and here, the link: Fastened Yellow in Morning
the yellow flowers are still in bloom, by the way - well, at least the last of the petals are. due to the warm weather, the garden still looks summer-ish. which will probably change this week, with a cold front arriving and ending the summer.
