butterfly moment
the week starts rainy here. but the memory of the spring sun is still there - and with it, the memory of this butterfly moment, from the first of March:
“Thursday, the first of March – and when i posted a sky photo, and looked for the sprint dates, i learned that it is the meteorological start of spring, with the astronomical start to follow at the end end of this month. and there really is a spring mood in the air since some days - yesterday started foggy, but then the fog lifted and the sun came out. when i stepped out of the door around noon, i noticed a movement next to the tiny early spring flowers, and didn’t believe what i saw: a butterfly. it must be one of those that spend winter as fully grown butterfly in hibernation. the little miracles of life."
i didn't have my camera with me, and the butterfly didn't show up since then - but this morning, i remembered the butterfly photo i once took. it's the same type, only a new generation.
standing there, i also thought of January and of the river of stones, this daily joined practice of paying attention to the details of the everyday. the moments i collected are still there, in the extra blog: participation.
which, from theme and name, also connects to the virtual commuity theme of the previous posts, just like this quote i arrived at this morning:
"I think that’s what we all want: we want to feel alive. We want to feel like part of something bigger than ourselves. We want to care about something that excites us, intrigues us, and challenges us to reach deep down and be the people we know we can be." (from: Tiny Buddha)
