bookphonebox
in the last months, i must have walked past this different kind of telephone box a couple of times without noticing it. not sure what made the difference yesterday - maybe the yellowness of it: all the yellow boxes have been switched to new, pink, modern versions some years ago. so i looked twice, and then understood: once of telephonebox, this is now a "BĂĽcherzelle" - "bookbox": a free book exchange.
the first time i saw something like that was in Vienna, "open book cupboard" it was called there, and white (here's the blog entry, it's the third photo).
great to come across another one in the town nearby, and lovely to find a book from abroad there: "Leaving Tangier" by Tahar Ben Jelloun
