"Das Zimmermädchen" is a German novella - one of the books i would have missed, hadn't i come across it in the library. it's the story of a "room maid" who is struggling with life -- and develops the habit to spend one night a week under a hotel bed, to get closer to the life of others.
"Dienstag, sagt Lynn, ich werde es jeden Dienstag tun."
"Tuesday, says Lynn, I will do it every Tuesday."
