crows, stones, void
the Winter 2010 issue of MiCrow is online, the theme is: "Void". the photo above is one of my contributions - "Still". it's based on a red-light hometown moment. more on the Void, in a Daily s-Press note: MiCrow Winter 2010: “Void” (Full of Crow).
and below, in crow connection, a moment from yesterday's drive - noted down for the "river of stones", this january task of paying attention and writing a daily "stone".
january drive:
lonely fields, frozen forests
then a triangle of crows
and a realization:
their feathers black,
to catch the sudden rays of winter sun
i haven't checked this assumption yet, but it would also fit for the "Amseln" (blackbirds) who stay here through winter.
& a related link: the "Still" photo is based on a photo that is up earlier in this blog: city tree. yes. same scene. very different mood.
