sliver of the moon, heart of the city & persistance on the way
this image, i took it on sunday morning. if you look twice, there's the sliver of the moon visible in the sky. today it's new moon. and with it, there's newness, just arrived and upcoming:
the new edition of language/place is online. the theme is: The Heart and Soul of the Cultural Landscape. my contribution to it is a moment from Paris: heart of the city. it's a journey i find myself returning to since i've been there in July, another moment from there is right beneath this blog entry: Inside Paris.
and upcoming is a new edition of Blue Fifth Review (not to be confused with BluePrint Review - but i like the parallel in name). their current issue is a Translation Special, which features poetry in original Greek and in translation. the next one is a Flash Special, with cover artwork from the road (from me :)
and on the way already, as i was informed by automatic e-mails, are 2 books: Persist: In Praise of the Creative Spirit in a World Gone Mad with Commerce, and also a book from a Pop Culture and Philosophy series: Heroes and Philosoph: Buy the Book, Save the World. will report back.
now, into tuesday.

Lovely shot to come to today, Dorothee. Thanks for mentioning Blue Fifth Review's translation issue, which is out now, and the upcoming flash issue, due out Sept 30! Good parallels indeed.
