city trees

there's a small gallery on the way to the bakery. it's always a treat to walk past it. now it has new paintings up - such a surprise contrast of cities, and frames. and in the left painting, city trees again.

city trees.. they seem to be a theme of this month. i think i havn't posted about it yet, but earlier this month, i returned to a story i wrote some winters ago, and put it up in fictionaut, here: City Crossing.

a bit later, the Foliate Oak issue went live, with the "Locked Up Life" tree picture. and connecting to the theme, i came across another city tree story: Skyscrapers by Rachel Swirsky.

all those trees.
