52/250 - A Year of Flash
in May, the 52/250 year of flash ended after 52 weeks of flash writing. i joined it in week #10, with a story for "Union of opposites", and then participated regularly (yet not all weeks) to the end.
now the wonderful editors Michelle Elvy, Walter Bjorkman and John Wentworth Chapin updated the 52|250 home page to summarize the year and the project as a whole. it's both beautiful and stunning to see the weeks as a mosaic of header images.
big THANKS to the eds, for the year of inspiration, for creating a place for our stories, for the themes, the interaction, the ongoing flow of words. all those stories....
just looking at the images in the mosaic is slightly overwhelming. and behind each image, a weekly world of stories. and added to that, the best-of-quarterlies. "thirtynine" is out now, and it's great to revisit the highlights that way - those of others, and my own. 3 of my stories made it into thirtynine:
A Like (in "Lost in translation"): "Sea," he says. - "She," she answers....
H2O (in "Floating away"): She clears the snow, once more...
Choice 9 (in: "Missed the bus"): The day starts like any other of her days...
