Fascinating info graphic: The World as 100 People

Via twitter, i arrived at a fascinating info graphic that shows a multitude of aspects of the world population in one single circle. Above, a piece of the circle, and here's the whole infographic: The World as 100 People

Last year i searched for a graphic like this when i ran looked at the continents of the world, and the sum of all people living on this planet (7 million), and wondered how you would read around the world when following a population-per-continent-ratio. Which lead to this own info graphic: World Population by Continents

What i didn't know back then - or maybe it wasn't up there yet, or not showing easily in google searches - is that there's a research project on the world / 100 people topic, with a large online page. That's where the date of "the world as 100 people" is from. here's the link: 100 People: A World Portrait

And here's a line from the intro page, on education: "In 2006, only 1 person out of 100 would have had a college education-- today that number has jumped to 7 thanks in part to advances in higher education in Asia."

And two more world links: An optimistic Ted Talk on world poverty statistics: Bono: Yes there's good news + Hans Rosling: The good news of the decade?
