and in nice timing, a friend sent a link about Lanzarote this week, to a new video on Vimeo: The Lanzarote Effect. the video, i think it captures the island really well, and also includes tiny details like the butterflies. i still remember seeing them in the most unlikely places, like the middle of deserted lava fields. it always stunned me.
